What To Expect When You Visit A Vape Shop

If you're new to vaping, it's only a matter of time before you visit a vape shop. These stores carry everything you need to vape, from e-liquid to new e-cigarettes. However, you may not be sure what to expect during your first visit. Take a look.

Customers under 18 may not be allowed to enter.

Since vaping is illegal for those under the age of 18 in the United States, most vape shops have adopted the policy of only letting adults age 18 or older into the store. So make sure you don't bring your kids with you when you visit; they probably won't be allowed in the shop. Some shops will check your identification as you enter if you appear to be younger than 18, so just have your ID handy.

You can ask for recommendations.

Vape shop owners tend to be very passionate about their products. In some vape shops, the owner or an employee may even mix the liquid themselves. So take advantage of this knowledge and strike up a conversation. You can ask the owner for recommendations, ask them to tell you more about their products, and so forth. When you're new to vaping, the owner of a vape store can be a really valuable source of information.

You'll have to fill your equipment yourself.

In many areas, regulations basically prohibit vape store employees from filling your e-cigarette. So you will have to do this yourself. However, if you are unfamiliar with how your new equipment works, the vape shop owner or an employee can talk you through the process. This is probably a better approach anyway because, by putting everything together yourself, you will learn how to do it for later.

You can choose between multiple "strengths" of e-liquid.

One thing you may not realize as someone who is new to vaping is that e-liquid comes in multiple strengths. You can find formulations with 5 mg of nicotine, 10 mg of nicotine, and even 20 mg of nicotine. Many new vapers are not sure what strength to use, but the store's employees or owners can help you decide. If you were previously a smoker, telling them how many cigarettes you smoked per day will help them recommend the best strength.

Now that you know a little more about what to expect, head on down to your local vape shop to learn even more. It's sure to be a rewarding experience.
